Investbanq is an AI-powered wealth operating system for family offices, asset managers and banks. We are empowering traditional financial institutions to rapidly transform into AI-driven WealthTech players, enabling them to effectively capitalize on the growing wealth transfer to affluent millennials and other digital natives across emerging Asia and MENA.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, manual journals, invoices, receipts, data entry, etc.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, classified, and documented.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standard, local regulations (Kazakhstani and UAE laws), AIFC/DIFC requirements, and international standards (e.g., IFRS).
- Prepare and submit tax returns, including VAT, corporate income tax, and other relevant taxes, for both Kazakhstan and Dubai/UAE.
- Ensure compliance with Kazakhstani tax laws, Dubai/UAE tax regulations, and other tax-related processes.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Prepare audit schedules, provide necessary documentation, and address audit inquiries.
- Track fixed assets, calculate depreciation, and reconcile asset registers.
- Handle statutory processes and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting requirements in Kazakhstan and Dubai.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial statements for review by the Financial Controller.
- Other ad-hoc projects and assignment by Financial Controller.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in full-set accounting
- Familiarity with AIFC requirements, Kazakhstani tax laws (DIFC and UAE tax regulations is a plus)
- Familiarity with MS office applications (Excel, Word etc.)
- Good communication skills (spoken and written English) to build strong relationship
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Proactive, independent, and capable of working effectively in a team
- Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work; willing to learn and have good problem-solving skills
