Due to expansion, we are now looking for the right person to join our Central Asia team as a Sales Engineer, the position is based in Almaty.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Sales Engineer your role contributes to the business by being responsible for all technical aspects with partners together with the Sales team and develop solutions to increase the business on targeted partners. Your role in the organization is to develop complex projects together with different departments and support the growth of our business in the country.


The responsibilities include field, inter-departmental and direct partner collaboration. The role is also responsible for educating about Axis products and solutions, presenting the benefits of Axis to important decision makers in order to develop a relationship as trusted advisor for these selected accounts.
Apart from above mentioned tasks it will be your job to:

  • Design the best solution for each project, by understanding the problem to be solved from the end customer and/or System Integrator perspective.
  • Always act as a trusted technical advisor both internal and externally.
  • Responsible to develop and present Axis solutions with high professional standards.
  • Keep a strong business acumen by developing together with the related Key account manager the best strategy to better position Axis at all levels in order to reach the short and long term goals.
  • Be accountable to maintain and develop contact with technical decision makers from large corporations (system integrators and end customers).
  • Learn, keep updated, and collaborate with Axis technology partners (TIP – Technology Integration Partners).
  • Understand the full solutions, not only the products developed by Axis, but also complementary, such as: networking, analytics, software, hardware and services.
  • Understand competitive landscape for each solution and follow-up each project with the technical customers.
  • Promote pilots and proof of concept implementations.
  • Work in close conjunction with the sales team, Account Managers, marketing and partners.
  • Participate in professional tradeshows and Axis events in order to represent the company to new potential customers and partners.
  • Follow the internal training program to keep being always updated with the latest technologies, products and solutions.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a focused and self-motivated team player with a technical background within Security or Networking. You will have the ability to hold inspiring presentations and demonstrations and to build strategic and trustworthy relationships at all levels.


You will have experience in pre-sales, project-based work within the video security market, alternatively within the IT channel and have knowledge in networking, IP-based technologies and applications. You will have the technical confidence to setup and demonstrate complex solutions within Network surveillance and solutions. Knowledge of VMS software is advantage.

You are used to complex project management in a fast-paced environment. You possess good analytical and organizational skills. Finally, you are creative, curious and passionate for technology.

Apart from this you have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in computer science or engineering will be preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years on a technical position in the IT or physical security market
  • Experience within B2B market
  • Fluent in Russian and English, both spoken and written (mandatory)
  • Fluent in Turkish is a big advantage
  • Knowledge in network infrastructure is a plus


The role involves some traveling within Turkey and Central Asia, some Conferences to the Swedish Headquarters in Lund or regional headquarters in Dubai.
