• Supporting the preparation, implementation and supervision of the World Bank financed projects and programs by liaising with the Project Management Units and/or the relevant ministries responsible for implementation, following up on project related issues with counterparts, informing the respective Task Team Leaders and Operations officer of issues that need attention. • Providing support to the World Bank education team for collecting and analyzing data on human development indicators and trends, and maintaining an up-to-date statistical database for human development (including health, education and social sectors). • Contributing to analytical work related to social sectors, including taking up writing assignments such as contribution to project briefs, policy notes and/or reports in areas covered by human development.

• Ensuring implementation of HR policy and procedures, recruiting and hiring practices, legal compliance issues • Planning and organizing launch of personnel training & development programs, including abroad, budgeting, implementation, consolidating reports on professional development programs of 12 affiliated railway companies • Initializing and processing foundation of a new railway training center • Providing managerial support to 11 members of the Center staff and 4 regional training centers

• Expertise drafts of law initiated by Nur Otan deputies • Gathering information, analyzing, monitoring implementation of Nur Otan programs • Working out regulative acts on Nur Otan deputies’ activities in the Majilis • Providing analytical and informational reports on public and political, economic and social spheres for field site visits

• Implementation governmental programs on education abroad • Administrating Bolashak Presidential Scholarship program: elaboration and ensuring procedures to adoption of legislative acts, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and reporting • Providing technical assistance the Republican Commission on Education Abroad: elaboration of regulations, drafting resolutions, monitoring and reporting to the Administration of the President of Kazakhstan • Providing management and support to running projects with European and American partners Liaison with the Administration of the President, State Secretary, Ministries on education abroad programs

• Initiating and implementation, monitoring agreements on cooperation in the field of education and science with local and foreign relevant bodies, European countries, USA partners • Liaison with other ministries, governmental bodies on international cooperation in the field of education and science issues • Coordination of activity of the subordinated organizations on the international cooperation • Managerial support to sector activities, planning

• Providing support services to Tempus project operators and project follow-up • Promoting regional cooperation, maintenance of networking between ongoing Tempus projects • Liaison with relevant governmental bodies, General Directorate Education and Culture, European Commission, European and CIS –countries Tempus national coordinators • Identifying potential project coordinators, academic experts • Maintaining database of selected and implemented Tempus projects • Assessing national concept for project proposals

• Identifying potential candidates to CI program • Organizing information campaign on CI program presentations • Recruiting candidates for IREX CI program for larger scale project s as needed • Handling logistics as visa support, hotel reservation for visiting IREX staff, consultants • Serving as dissemination and collection point for applications
