Primary Care Business Unit Manager
Strategic planning
• For new products: creation of pre-launch marketing Plan, preliminary sales forecast, Strategic Launch Plan, life cycle management.
• For marketed Products: Submission of annual Brand Marketing plans, recommendation on Life cycle planning, local labeling, packaging and extended indications.
• Pricing and Logistics: Monthly submission of 6 month rolling forecast for all products/packaging. Recommendation on Pricing and rebates for products under my responsibility. Preparation of tender offers according to written local policy on tender offers.
• Medical: planning and execution of clinical trial strategy, to ensure that marketing objectives are supported and that the conduct of the trials are in accordance with Roche GCP standards and local regulations.
• Sales Force: ensure professional development, setting objectives, performance standards, reporting and deployment of sales force. Allocation of promotional budget to sales force and guidelines for its usage. Sales plans creation. Territory & Customer selection. Preparation of Cycle meetings.
▪ Performance Standards: Planning and monitoring of investments in BU PC portfolio promotion and FF expenses in accordance with P/L statements. Regular market analysis and competitor action follow-up aiming to implement BU strategies in a speedy fashion. Direct responsibility for performance standards and professional development of Sales Manager, Product Managers, Assistant.
▪ Budgeting: establishment of yearly Latest Estimate and Sales budget and product promotion costs for products within BU, including allocation of field force time and costs between products. Proposal for BU headcount for Budget year.
▪ Training: to define Training needs for staff (incl.new comers). Ensuring that the medical and marketing training provided by the Medical and Product managers within the BU is prepared and delivered to a high professional standard.
▪ Company Compliance Policy: ensure that Company policy is read, understood and adhered to for all BU employees.
▪ Own reporting: weekly submission of plans to General Manager and briefing on business developments. Monthly analysis to General Manager on sales, market share and cost developments compared to Budget and previous year. Monthly submission of expense reports to General Manager.
Achievements on the position:
• Created strong Competitive PC BU Team by maintaining in full force and motivation of existing BU PC staff + closed 3 vacancies with young employees (2 BU PC medical representatives were promoted to FFM and new product manager was recruited)
• Organization of teamwork for including 2 new product: Actemra (biotherapy of rheumatoid arthritis) and Mircera (Renal anemia) in SKF State purchasing price list – both were included.
• Increased of Hospital orders on AntiHCV drugs for tender 2013 to 2 times vs 2012 tender results.
• Creation and implementation “Development of Biotherapy in KZ” project in cooperation with KZ medical society and RA institute in Russia.
• Evaluated, defensed and implemented new consistent educational program for Field force; active daily BU PC Management’s staff development.
• Created and implemented the new motivation project for MRs in order to motivate MRs to achieve and overachieve the secondary sales plan.
• Q1 2012 Primary sales plan achievement is 100%
