HR Manager/Generalist ensures providing high level HR generalist (Recruitment, L&D, Reward, MI, Talent Management, HR Advisory and HR Administration) support in line with HSBC Group people strategy. Advises, develops and implements policies, procedures and practices locally at HSBC Bank Kazakhstan whenever needed in line with the HSBC Group policies and procedures to ensure that the individual staff and the business are properly supported and developed from the HR side.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • University degree in HR or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in HR
  • Good HR generalist working knowledge including in recruitment, employee relations, talent management, training and development, policy review and implementation
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Labour Code of Kazakhstan
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills, capable to effectively communicate with people at all levels
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise;
  • Fluency in English (oral and written)
  • IT skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, good PC skills, spreadsheets, databases and office software

Desirable:

  • Previous International and/or European experience
  • Previous experience in an international organisation operating in Kazakhstan
